how to read dimensions of bracelet patterns

Hi I need someone to explain why the patterns say 19 strings when in the dimensions it says 18 strings by 20 rows can someone please explain?

19 is the total number of strings used (base strings plus string you are knotting with)18 is the number of base strings (I always look at the 'Dimensions' for the number of base strings) |

@KrazyKnotz Right that’s where I have been going wrong as I have been doing the whole number of strings not knowing it’s including the string you are knotting with now I know for future references when I’m reading patterns thank you so much for explaining this to me
