Question About Variation Options on a Pattern I'm Soon Submitting

I'm currently working on a text pattern with waves in the same style as my pattern #198317 . I'm making it for a friend and, as it is a larger pattern (150x129), I want to give them the option of 2 colors as opposed to the 4 to 5 colors I think it will end up being. My question is, would I be able to post the version with more colors and then add a variation where two elements share the same color? OR could I post two patterns, one just being a monochrome version of the other. I'm also prepared to just take a screenshot of the grid while it's monochrome and then just post the colorful one. Just wondering on how I should proceed, or if anyone has done a similar thing. |

If the only difference is the number of colors, the pattern cannot be accepted.

@KrazyKnotz since you only answered one question, then i’m assuming the answer is the same for variations as well? i can’t make a 2 color variation of a 4 color pattern?

No, you cannot add or take away colors in an existing alpha pattern.

And to clarify, we do not accept variations where you change two separate colors to be the same color in alpha pattern variations.
