Is there a way to click on a knot when creating a normal pattern and have it become any other knot other than a forward knot without having to click through them a bunch of times? I'm currently working on a pattern with a lot of backward knots and was just trying to find a way to make this go faster.

You can cycle through them either with left click or reverse with right click

When adding new rows and columns, you can also select which knot type to add by selecting the knot type in knots. If your pattern has predominantly b knots, I recommend selecting b when adding new rows.

Left-click cycles through the knots in the order f, b, fb, bf, 0.
Right-click cycles through the knots in the order 0, bf, fb, b, f.

That means you can get from one knot to any other knot in a maximum of 2 clicks.
