How to make my alpha patterns straight and not wavy?

Hello my alpha strings are all the same size however when my design on my alpha starts, my edges go like in a wave form and stay that way. I tried pulling harder on the strings but I just don't know how to keep my alpha bracelet completely straight. I even do the straight edge technique but, it's still wavy from the sides. Is there a way to fix it so that the edges are completely straight, and don't turn wavy when my alpha design comes in?

My advice would be to try to make all your knots a bit looser. You can try to make the knots where you switch colours a bit tighter compared to the other knots.
