“just text” patterns allowed?

I thought it was a rule that patterns that were just text were not allowed, and that they needed to have something more in them to be accepted. But I’ve been seeing a lot of patterns recently that are just plain text with nothing else. Are they now allowed?

Simple text patterns are not accepted, but the ones you are referring to are logos which are allowed.
