Kinda what the title is asking. I recently posted a pattern that is probably better suited as a wall hanging, is there any way to post a variation so that the red side is the top of the tapestry or do i have to make a whole new pattern? The pattern is 176023.

I'm pretty sure the alpha generator automatically chooses the shortest side as the base strings starting side

The generator automatically pics the least amount of base strings possible for the knotting instruction. You don't have control over it.

What you do have control about is the pattern preview (the pattern grid) and you seem to have posted that one in the orientation you intended it to be.
