Hi ! I've been enjoying making complex normal patterns, and my latest one is giving me trouble. I wanted to represent the 4 seasons, so i have a repeating pattern with a christmas tree, a flower, a sun and a pumpkin on a dark background. The thing is, i have to exchange strings a lot for it to work, so the color shows (that's what i call "artefacts", not sure it's really the right term). I have made 2 versions, the first is 15 strings and the sides are very colorful, and the second is 18 strings, and there are random color dots where the strings cross.

Here are some pics : https://ibb.co/album/Q7M6Wp

I'm honestly not sure which one looks best, and if either even looks good enough to actually knot haha. I'd love to have feedback on which one you prefer and if anyone has any tips, i'll take them !

I think I like the one with the dots more. To me it looks cleaner than the other one. The dots look a bit like confetti.

@halokiwi thanks for the answer ! Yeah I guess it can look semi intentional ^^ some of the dots are actually not needed but I added them for symmetry
