There is a pattern I found several years ago with a bracelet I have never seen anywhere else. The pattern uses leather cording between 1/8 inch or almost 1/2 inch thick, then you can use between 3-5 colors of embroidery thread, depending on how thick you want it. They come out very polished and classy. Has anyone ever seen them or made one ?

I've definitely seen them, but I've never made one myself. Is there something you want to know?If you plan to post a photo, I think you can probably post it to #8454. It's the pattern usually used for the Chinese staircase, but it should also work for this type of bracelet. |

I just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with making this pattern because I have never seen anything about it anywhere. Among all the patterns and ideas on the internet, there is

My profile pic is the bracelet I am working on right now using this pattern. I’ve named it “Martha Stewart” because I’ve never seen another name for it

I know I once saw a tutorial video on instagram, but I currently cannot find it. I also find it very surprising, that it is so hard to find. You can probably find a little more on regular fishtail braid bracelets. They are similarly made and they look similar. So if you are looking for experiences by other people making them, these might be useful. |

The title of the video is 'thread wrapped friendship bracelet', so I'd probably call it that. Another way of referring to it could be 'wrapped fishtail bracelet' as a homage to it being based on the fishtail braid. Here are tutorials for similar bracelets: https://lc.pandahall.com/articles/1678-how-to-make-a-two-color-woven-fishtail-friendship-bracelet-step-by-step.html https://www.instructables.com/How-To-Make-A-Fishtail-Survival-Bracelet/ https://www.limabeads.com/store/designs/ViewDesign?d=11983 They're not identical to the one in the video but they show that this or a similar concept is used by many people. |

Found a video by Martha Stewart showing how to make this bracelet herself :b absolutely no idea which pattern this would apply to though. I agree with using #8454 for now, unless anyone knows any better fits.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poFm4wKK_MI |
