Hey all, I keep running into an issue where when I try to put a dark thread color in an alpha pattern (like black or dark purple/blue) I get an error saying to change it to a lighter color and I can’t submit my pattern until I do. Does anyone else have this issue? Or know how to get around it? Thanks 🙂

Hi! That happens because all colours need to be light enough so the grid will still be visible. The darkest black you can use is # 262626 (it's in the FAQ's as well) for example. I would play around with the colours a bit until your find one that doesn't set off the warning but still fits with the pattern you have in mind 😇

Generator warnings can be generally fixed by doing what the generator tells you to do.

So if the generator tells you that a colour is too dark and that you should make it lighter, you should make the colour lighter to fix the warning.

If you want, you can check out this tutorial:
https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/140_normal-pattern-warnings-and-how-to-fix-them/

It's for the normal pattern generator, but many warnings like the colour warnings are identical in the alpha pattern generator.
