What do the dimensions mean?

Not sure if this is the right section to ask this in, but i hope it's not the wrongest eitherIn normal patterns, what do the dimensions mean? Because like, it could be 9 strings wide and the dimensions will say 4x8, or it could be 12 strings wide and the dimensions will say 6x16 (numbers taken from two random patterns), and I'm a bit confused. Thanks! |
