how come no black?

Hi, I tried to submit a pattern I made but it did not let me because the background was black. So I changed it to white.But is there any way I can make it another variation with a black background once it is checked out?

hey! the reason we don't allow pure black (color code 000000) and other very dark colors is because it makes it really hard to see the individual pixels on the pattern grid. however, this mainly applies to alphas. i would recommend using 383838 or 333333 as a substitute for black. they are both dark greys, but look like black. hope this helps! 🙂
