Straight edges technique and tear drop loop

Hi! I am working on pattern #1621752. I am wanting to add a string in order to do the straight edges technique as well as begin the bracelet with a tear drop loop. I have done both techniques separately but never together. How would you go about creating the loop in the beginning with the extra strings? |

The pattern you put does not exist, but there is a variation with that number. It's on pattern #88894. Do you mean that? Now to combining the straight edges technique and a teardrop loop: When using the straight edges technique, the strings you have added for the technique are always the outmost strings. So when making your teardrop loop you have to keep that in mind. The extra strings are the first ones you leave out when knotting the teardrop loop (if you mean the teardrop loop that looks like this |\/|). |
