What are:1. Your fave patterns to turn into key chains? Bonus if you have both alpha and normal. Double bonus if it's 16 strands or under. 2. Your preferred start methods for a key chain? [Loop start, shaped start, other?] Which do you prefer and why: 3. Geometric designs? 4. Pictures? 5. Gradients? Extra question if you've made it this far: 6. What brand of string do you prefer? My answers: 1. I literally only just finished my first key chain yesterday after I messed up a bracelet and needed to salvage it lol 2. I did a loop start bc I thought that would be the easiest way to get the metal hoop on and it was a PITA 3. Geometrics are easy bc they repeat and you can knot in sections imho. I've really been eating up a bunch of patterns by @Odanak1811 4. Pictures are fun at the end when it's finished, but they're so hard for me to keep track of bc I knot while I watch tv 5. Ooh! Love a good gradient. 6. I'm really biased towards DMC floss, mainly bc the dye is consistent between lots, but I have quite a lot of P&J Coats that ppl have given me, and I've got a bunch of the beginners gimp string that you get in the kits. |
