Why wont it let me "use black color" in my patterns?! How? I need black in my alpha I'm trying to post.

You can use #333333 or #383838 as replacement for black. The reason you can't use actual black is that because of the darkness it's difficult to see the knots when you just look at the preview of the pattern.

You can use a color that looks like a black but is a little lighter. People will still know it’s black but they won’t let you so people can still see the grid.

I saw on one of @innovate videos that you can use the hex color code 333333 ( six three's). I've used that trick ever since.

@Etherial It will depend on your monitor's display since some monitors have stronger displays than others, meaning it will display the color better.

why do you have to go row by row instead of segment knotting

@isabellas alpha patterns have a different structure than normal patterns. For this reason you can only knot them row by row.

@knottingav you can design patterns as long as ur on the website. It can be any device, I’m not sure if you can create patterns on the app though.

@knottingav you can only create patterns on the website as far as i know. just search braceletbook.com and sign into your account that you’re on right now. then you can go over to the thing on the orange bar that has your profile. if you hover the cursor on a computer then there are a few options. one of them says create patterns and then from there you can make an alpha or normal pattern. alphas are made on a grid like pixel art and for normals or shaped you have to put in the exact knots for each row. alphas are simpler for beginners to create.

@AlexisHehe are you in the generator or do you need help finding the generator?

Here is how you can get to the generator: you need to be on the website, not the app. On a computer you hover over your username on the top right, on a phone you click on it. Then you select “create patterns” in the drop-down menu. Then you can choose if you want to create a normal or alpha pattern.

If you are in the generator, are you designing a normal pattern or an alpha?

If you want to submit an alpha pattern you have to be in "alpha". If you are currently in "draw alpha" make sure to click "save" before going to "alpha".

In order for a pattern to be accepted you have to add at least four keywords that describe the pattern. Think about what keywords you would search for if you wanted to search for a pattern like the one you want to submit.

To be able to submit a pattern you have to click the box where it says "share rights" and then you can click submit.

I hope any of this helps. The next time please try to make your question as specific as possible 😄
