I don't even know what to google to try and find an answer to this, and believe me, I've tried.

I'm trying to use only a singular mushroom from #42922 and make a shaped alpha keychain from it. I'm running into some problems on the second and third row of the mushroom cap. The first row is four black knots to start making a border, and then on the right side of the second row, the row is two knots longer. How do I go out two base strings at a time like that? Is there a term for this so that I can search for tutorials about it?

I considered starting from the right instead of the left, but I would run into the same problem when I try to move from the second to the third row.

Any help would be much appreciated!

do what this person does on their patch, https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/134_make-patches-applicators-with-alphas/ If you try to look for it, there is almost always a tutorial for all of your questions, hope it helped. 🙂

@user254780 I did look at that tutorial, but I was making a keychain like I said and using the clean back alpha technique. So, that tutorial wasn't helpful to me in this specific predicament and I wasn't willing to just glue down the ends of the strings because I think that defeats the purpose of going through the trouble to use the clean alpha technique and also makes it more prone to falling apart. But I did end up figuring it out myself! You can check out the picture I posted on the pattern! 🙂
