Hi,

I normally segment knot my normal patterns, I find that it goes a lot faster, and is easier in general. I want to do pattern #173831, but it is all FB and BF knots and I was wondering if it is possible to segment knot it. If so does anyone have any ideas on how I could segment knot this pattern?

Thank you! 😊

1212 patterns generally can't be segment-knotted because the segments are too short (2 knots max) but you can still knot in a diagonal or in a v-shape to make it s a little quicker.

This isn’t an option on your specific bracelet, but sometimes you can tie knots of the same color as forward or backward knots instead of fb or bf knots. Using this method can help with segment knotting and increase your knotting speed.

If you want more information on how to do this, I think there’s a tutorial about it.

@bkornre when doing knots between two strings of the same color, you can do a forward or backward knot instead of a forward backward or backward forward knot. It won’t matter since the strings are the same color and will produce the same result. One of my favorite tricks to continue the segment instead of switching strings, hope this helps 💗💗💗
