Hello.

I have been making bracelets since 2023 and still haven't solved the problem of making holes. I'm talking about normal patterns, not alpha.
With simple patterns, there is no problem (chevron, for example), but when there are more than eight strands or more than ten dimensions, difficulties arise.

Despite my best efforts, the bracelets I make come out with small gaps or have a different color woven into the neighboring thread, even though this shouldn't be the case. The color has been transferred onto it.

Today I had the same problem with pattern #8.

I can send photos upon request.

Can anyone help me?

Technical data of the bracelets:

Ariadna 8 m 100% cotton decorative thread, good quality.
Secured with duct tape when making.

To solve the issue of gaps and color bleeding in wider normal patterns, focus on maintaining a strict two-stage knotting technique while balancing tension between your active and base strings.

Gaps usually occur when the first half of a knot isn't pushed firmly enough against the previous row, use your thumbnail to slide that first half into place before securing it with the second. (If you are going row-by-row, using a ruler could be helpful to push the knots up.)

Color bleeding happens when the "base" string—the one being knotted over—is pulled too tight, causing it to "flip" or pop through the knot. To prevent this, keep the base string straight and passive while applying tension only to the knotting thread.

Hope this helps. 😊

Thank You so much! I'm learning to applying it, however, I can see the results now. I don't have gaps in bracelet I'm making now! 🎉 (I'm making pattern #150)
Thank You again, You're saving my friendship bracelets. : )
