Bracelet Belts?

Recently, I’ve been getting more and more interested in attempting to make a belt out of a normal bracelet pattern. However, this has led me to ponder the logistics of it. For those of you who have attempted such a thing, roughly how much string would you need to make a complex normal pattern (such as #202692) into a belt? Is there any proper/effective method of calculating for it? Thank you so much for your time and have a great day!!
