I'm segment knotting #79702, and I'm having some trouble when I reach row 10. This is where the shapes start to look like this: ^ where the point is at the top and the legs extend downward towards the sides. My issue is in making that central knot at the top of the inverted chevron.

So far, my process has been that I knot like a normal chevron, including the center knot on row 10, then on rows 9-11 I knot the three knots on the outsides that form a little triangle. Then I finish the legs from rows 11-13, starting the inverse chevron process. When I make the center knot on row 12, it usually ends up a little separated from the rest of the knots. I struggle with this at the center of most all of the reverse chevron shapes in this bracelet.

How can I get that center knot to sit snugly? Do I have to tie it tighter? Hold the sides of the bracelets together as I tie that knot? Is there a technique that I haven't learned yet?

When you are tying the center knot in row 12 make sure your first have of the knot is tight and in place and then tie the 2nd half of the knot. I hope that makes sense. Also I have found that it just takes practice.

In my experience reverse chevrons are just really annoying to segment knot - I suspect that would definitely come with practice, but at the moment I just knot it chevron by chevron, or diagonal line by diagonal line. I find that easier than knotting row-by-row or attempting to segment knot.

i.e. from the chevron rows 7-10 to the chevron rows 15-18, i would abandon the segment knotting and knot in regular chevrons, using backward, FB and BF knots as the pattern requires. Hope this makes sense! 🙂

@oleeeeevie That's what I ended up doing! I just kept on following the normal chevron shape
