making circles in alpha patterns

Whenever there is a circle in my alpha pattern, it looks like an oval when I tie it. Is there anything I can do to make it look more like a circle?

You can-double your base strings or use thicker base strings -tie a little more loosely -push up each row with a ruler -skip rows |
