I started this week learning how to make the normal and alpha types of friendship bracelets. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here to make it uneven. This is my first time making a normal type of friendship bracelet as I've been making the kumihimo type of friendship bracelets on and off for the past 3 or 4 years.I believe I made the loop too big but that was because I didn't account for the teardrop shape giving more room than I thought it would. And i think in the beginning I might've used more tension than needed. But I've been following the dotted border chevron by Masha Knots. ( https://youtu.be/PKyTtwiTGXo?si=G9S95XAW5zcK_XnY ) Is there something else I should know to fix it or is it a trust the process type of thing? |

All strings should be the same thickness. If not, they will produce knots of different sizes. It takes a while until one can knot evenly but one important thing to do is to pull the first half of the knot tight before doing the second half. This helps avoid gaps. |

@halokiwi is there such a thing as too tight or is it best to tie as tight as possible?
