I haven't had any luck finding a good video tutorial on making normal patterns starting (ending too I guess) on a dowel. I want to try a large pattern. Thanks for any links.

I would split the strings into half (3 strands instead of 6), attach them using larks head knots and use both halves as one string.

@halokiwi what would you recommend if there’s an odd number of base strings? tje larks head knot tutorial says to use the same string for the leading string but what if my base strings are a different colour from my leading strings
