This may be an overcomplicated solution but you could take a piece of cardboard and cut notches into it so that you can put your strings into the notches so that they don't move around- for example, your pattern has 37 base strings so I'd cut 37 notches and put them all in the designated spots. The Loca Board Tutorial (on BB) could also be effective
