Ok so I’ve figured out how to read and make alpha patterns…. But do I do two forward and two backwards knots every row? Or just one knot per arrow. Also… if I add in a new color on the side, how do I not let that little tail of string show?

Those are my two questions.

Each knot consists of two halves. The knots used in alpha patterns are the same used in normal patterns. Each circle represents one knot consisting of two halves.

I don't know if it's always a good idea, but sometime in the middle of a bracelet, I like to stop making it and remake the bracelet from the begingning because I saw some mistakes.

And because of that, I discovered that the 2nd time I did (I'm working on it) the #103721 was much more wide than the 1st one.

to hide the tail i tie it into the bracelet if its long enough, meaning i basically group it with a base string and knot over them as if they were a single base string. i do this for a few rows and then i just ignore the tail. you can then cut it from the back!!
