hi!! i have a problem with normal patterns, sometimes i cut the strongs too short. is there any solution to that problem?

i usually do a wingspan and a half when making normal patterns for a starting measurement and so far i’ve had no issues. but you can always extend the string with a magic knot! i use it a lot when i crochet and it works well with bracelets too!

If you’re working on a normal pattern and realize you made your strings too short, you can add another string the same way you would on an alpha pattern!

You can extend the strings like the others said or you could calculate the length in advance. I've written a tutorial on how to, if you are interested.
