Hi! I’m currently trying to make #49179 as a keychain with the clean back alpha technique and I wanted to have three rows of white at the top. after making these three rows, i realized I was meant to introduce the blue string earlier (i’ve made many alphas before, but this is my first attempt at the clean back technique). Anyways, I don’t want to make any more white rows bc i think that would look weird so i don’t know what to do. Can I continue making the keychain as if nothing happened or should i start over? I appreciate any help and suggestions 😊

i would just undo all the knots until the part you need to add the blue

when i use the clean back technique, i don’t introduce the new color earlier than it’s needed, just do the first knot the tuck the tail out of the way and cut it later. in my experience it has never come undone if i do that, although it looks a little weird with the tiny bits of string poking out.
