Do you have any ideas to reuse the pieces of thread you cut off? (Except for the rag-rug bracelet)

I use them for patterns that have only a couple of knots of one color!

If they are long enough, I use scrap thread for little alpha keychain base strings.

Do you guys have any ideas for this if you only make normal patterns?

@Guerrera if they are long enough, you can also make colour switches in normal patterns similar to what you would do in alphas. You can also use up scrap threads like that.

Ive been keeping my spare strings to make tassels for other patterns I make. That, or as @pulserasAG mentioned, using them for other patterns that only require a few knots.

@Jasmijn3 They are decorative accents that can be added to the end of bookmarks and do not take a lot of string to make! Heres a YouTube video I have used to reference how to make them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn7LrytzBrQ&list=PLKMUY8FLM4IO9z2g9IJpqmSyLRHm-VzFF&index=4&ab_channel=Nadiya%E2%80%99sBracelets

I use long enough pieces of scrap thread for base strings on small and short alphas and to tie up the end of my creations

Really tiny scraps can also be used for “rag rug” style bracelets

I have leftover thread too, I use it for several things. I sometimes use them for alphas, or keep them for making bracelets. (So when I knot and almost haven't got any string then I tie them with a knot) (I think I should post a tutorial how to make it) I even use them for stitching 🙂

i collect all of my scrap thread and compile it into a big box for any projects where i need just a little bit of one color, or if it’s long enough, even to use as a string in a normal bracelet
