whenever i make a knot with two strings of the same color, I make the knot with whichever string is longer instead of what the pattern shows. i guess i like my strings to be even in the end? do other people do this?

i like to follow the pattern, but if one is noticeably longer than the other i’ll use that one to make the knot.

I usually make it with the longer string 🙂 I grab both strings and slide my fingers down to the ends to see which one's longer!
