Is there a way to make the holes and keep the black outline?

Yes, there is. You just replace the black knots on the left side of the hole with bf knots and on the right side of the hole with fb knots. These are the edge knots in which you hide the loose strings.There's also a video on single coloured triangle ends on YouTube which explains it. |
