How do I make my starburst bracelets edges straight

Ok so I have tried to make a starburst bracelet a couple of times and every time I get discouraged because the edges are not straight pacifically the white part and I don’t know what to do

have you tried using the straight edge technique? masha knots has a good tutorial on it.

not for the starburst tutorial. there’s a tutorial specifically on how to use the straight edge in any bracelet.

MashaKnots does not use the straight edges technique in her starburst tutorial to my knowledge but this technique can be applied to any pattern. Basically what you do is add an extra string on either side and make bf knots onto it on the left side and fb knots onto it on the right side.
