Some of these alpha patterns are gorgeous and I want to make bigger versions of them. They deserve it. Could I use larger yarn? Has anyone tried that? Is there some different method to it?

It definitely works but tends to look a little bit messier than thin embroidery floss/craft cord. for example, if u made a mistake, its really noticeable, and the edges usually look more bumpy

I have a friend who made a wall hanging with thicker yarn, it’s huge and it looks great!
