Hello everyone! I was knitting earlier today and realized that I was taking a long time to knot. Do you have any tips on how to knot faster. I think it may be partially to how much of a perfectionist I because I caught myself multiple times spending a while on a knot to make it look pretty. If anyone has tips could you please tell me because i want to make more bracelets faster!!

Segment knotting helps me to speed up. Also, you could try separating the strings for each row before you start (for example, if you need to do three knots diagonally, take the main string in one hand and the strings you are going to do the knots onto and put them between your fingers). Masha Knots has a video that explains it a bit more. I can’t remember the name, unfortunately, but I think it was something like “how to improve your bracelets”.

Agree with the comment above, segment knotting goes faster for normals. Also, for me, I find patterns that have lesser backward-forward/ forward-backward knots easier so maybe it helps speed up the knotting process.
Other than that, especially pertaining to alphas, it’s just a lot of practice 🙂

idk if this would help you, but when doing alphas I liked to keep my strings on big bobbins. it makes it easier to swing the around, as well as something to grab at.
