Hi! I have a another question about flat alpha... lets say the last knot in a row is blue then the first knot from the next row is red , how will i make the backward forward ( or forward backward ) knot with 2 different colors? I hope someone understood what I mean 😅

ok for example purposes lets say its on the left side of the bracelet 😂

you would make a normal forward backward knot with the blue on the last base string, and the blue string would end up facing to the right and the base string would be the last string, if that makes sense. then you would do a forward backward knot with the red, but bring it OVER the blue string on the first forward part of the knot.

hopefully that makes sense.. if not lmk and I can message you or something in more detail! I kinda want to make a tutorial on color switches at the edge of a bracelet, so I might do that soon too 😄

When doing the straight edges technique in an alpha you replace both the last and the first knot in a row with bf knots on the left and fb knots on the right.

That means you do two bf or fb knots right after each other, the first knot is the last knot of the previous row and the second knot is the first knot of the next row.

You just do a regular colour switch because you can't to the flat alpha technique right at the edge.

You make the first bf knot blue and the second bf knot red.

Yes, in this tutorial you can see the structure of the straight edges technique in an alpha. It's the second picture. https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/101_the-straight-edges-technique/

If you only do one bf or fb knot you are missing one knot at the edge in each row and the edge will curve.

Always two knots of the same type. Two bf knots on the left and two fb knots on the right.

If you mean the link to the tutorial you can also find it on my profile and in the tutorial section.

Here's the link again. It works for me. You have to copy it and paste it into the search bar of your browser
