Hi! The flat alpha technique should work regardless of the number of colour switches you have in a row. I think that consecutive colour switches may be the trickier thing, so my tip for that is really take your time with it! After each colour switch you can gently tug on the strings while using your nail/ finger to hold the knot down, it really helps to neaten things up and make sure everything stays even. Doing that for consecutive colour switches helps especially, for me personally. ❤️

Oh... for me I just put them upwards (it’s easier since I use a clipboard). And if I make a lot of colour switches I check underneath to make sure that the back isn’t messy and no strings are entangled

@Bileklik not really. For example, if I’m making a bracelet that only requires a certain colour on the left side, I would place that string towards the left side only, and vice versa. If the string is being used throughout the whole pattern/ it’s a central part of the design, I’ll put it wherever it’s more convenient for me (for example, if you’re knotting towards your left, normally the string is more conveniently placed towards the left as well). I find that this helps to reduce entangling at the back of alphas the most ❤️
Sorry if this is confusing but if you need me to clarify just let me know 🙂
