so i was making this wall hanging and i was doing a color switch but 2 of the knots aren’t touching. like i can see the color that i was using that i switched. it’s super hard to explain but it’s never happened before. i’m usually really well with my knots tying them tight where there’s no holes. does anyone know why it’s doing that? i am so sorry if you don’t understand it.

Maybe if you pull the string that you switched with the other string, that usually helps me

Maybe you need to do the knots a little bit looser and and try to pull more the string that cross over the knot . (if that make sence lol). Also when im confused i usually watch videos of people knotting, maybe that can help you too (: (I'm sorry if you didn't understand, i'm not very good at english 😂)

It could be the type of thread you're using. Sometimes, if it's two completely different types the string will do that. It could be that your knots aren't tight enough, or that you just need to redo the row a couple spaces behind where the issue is, and then try and see if you can fix it.
I recommend making sure the string is properly tucked in the first half, and then when you're sure you've done what you can do the second half. You can always go back and adjust afterwards too!! If you take your finger and push on it it might help

I'm pretty sure I understood what you're trying to say. So this did happen to me before and realized that it happened because I didn't place the previous color string separated above before getting the new color from under. If the old color isn't placed above and separated it wouldn't pass through the middle of the knot of the new color while doing the color switch. Hope that helps.
