Is it possible to change my username? When I was setting up my account I typed "noamthenerd" not realizing there was a character limit and the d got left behind. Now it really distresses me every time I go to the website... (I am autistic and have OCD, it genuinely distresses me I'm not exaggerating.) I've considered making a new account instead but then all my saved patterns, variations, and created patterns would be lost. Is there any way I can get my username changed? I wasn't able to find a way through the website but I'm not very technologically savvy. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm really sorry that it is so upsetting to you. No, there isn't a way to change your username. You would have to make a new account.

Once you set up that account, you can just go to the to-dos and loves of your old account and add them to your new account. You have to do that manually for every pattern but it shouldn't take too long.

If you want to, you can request for the pattern and variation you posted to be taken down. Then you can post them on your new account.

For the pattern, you can also post it slightly changed on your new account and then request for the old one to be taken down and the content posted to that pattern being moved over.

No worries about having asked this question. People don't read the faqs all the time and at least you did eventually 😄

Do you know if I can delete this account and make a new account using the same email, or if I have to use a different email? Also, who would I send the requests for stuff to be taken down / moved to?

Deleting an account is not possible, but you can request for your account to be banned. This doesn't do anything but making you unable to use that account and the account having "(banned)" written under your username on your profile.

No two accounts can use the same email address. You have to use a new email address for the new account, no matter if the old account is banned or not. But you should be able to change the email address of your old account. This should free up the email address to be used for your new account.

You can send the request to any moderator such as me. We mods will forward your request to the admins.
