What Decides How Your Photo Is Displayed?

Hi! I have recently been more active on the site, and posting more pictures, and I noticed that sometimes the pictures are not centered correctly, or at all. I was wondering: what decides how your picture is displayed on the site? It it an automatic thing, or do the moderators choose? Thanks!

It's automatic. Pictures are portrayed as squares on the websites. On the app the dimensions are a little different. There is an algorithm determining where in the picture the most is going on and depending on that the image is centered around that. If you want to avoid that, you can submit square images to at least avoid the issue on the website.
