colors in alphas

I tried to make an alpha but I got a message saying I can't use black or dark colors in my pattern- why is that and how can I get around it?

You can’t use deep black or darker colours in alphas because you can’t see the black grid in the preview.

I use 383838 instead of black (if you type that number qhere you see the number you have for a color the color will show up) it looks like black in the pattern but it isnt too dark, i hope that makes sense

We do not accept super dark colors because it makes it hard to see the grid and distinguish the individual pixels. The darkest black we accept is 313131. 🙂
