My background knots are fine but when I start using my pattern strings, it wont tighten all of the way and it leaves all of this string and a big gap. I tried tightening it more but the hole braceled just curled up. What do I do? 🙁

This happens to me too. All I do is undo the knots with a safety pin. Then I redo the knots. I hope this helps you.😄

Try pulling your tying string somewhat sideways or you may still need to pull a little tighter, though I don't want you to break your string. I had the same problem when I first started making alphas. I just kept pulling tighter and tighter until the knot finally was snug up against the last row. Good luck. =)

If it curl put a wet rag over it and iron over the rag

well it won't go up all the way AND it curls if i pull it tighter so there isn't really any point of ironing a ruined bracelet

when it is time to use the 3rd color you tie it into the bracelet with a regular knot, then you knot it where it needs to be knotted, then put it aside and continue where you left off, when you need to use it again jsut knot it then set it aside again, hope this helped! 😛

Use a crochet hook to rip out the rows

just undo your knots, then make your first knot tight, but then if you want to make your second knot looser, then that is fine but once you do your first knot, if it doesn't look how you like, and there is a gap, iffy have already done your first knot then there really isn't anything you can dohope this helps -vsco_love🌸🌻🌊 |

@gymnast2 try to knot as close to the previous row as possible. You can also push your knots up a little after making them.If you use the flat alpha technique make sure you do the regular colour switch right at the edge instead. |
