Practice start with alphas that have few colour changes to get used to it the staight edge technique helps a lot in my opinion and make sure to be has consistent has possible with your knot tightness hope that helps if you have more questions feel free to message me or ask here

Start with a smaller alpha that use only two colors. This will make it less confusing on where the string is going. Also, when changing from one color to another, do the first knot on the base string the color that you want the knot to be, put the previous working on top of the knot, and do the second knot with the color that you want. This should make the previous working string inside the knot and make your bracelet less bumpy. I hope that isn't too confusing. I didn't know this when I first started and my bracelets were a disaster 😂. I used to just chuck the string behind when I didn't want that color anymore and my bracelets were terrible. I hope this was somewhat helpful 😊.

@alyxcap #26863 might be a good first. My first (which I finished today) was #30408

I also put a piece of card board with slots for each base string on my clip board so I didn't loose track or knots on the wrong string. Hope that helps!

If you can't watch Masha Knots bc you're not allowed on yt, just go to @Racoon page and she'll have videos on her page for you ( she's Masha Knots)

Just try to keep your knots consistent and not all spacey!

I would start with a simple small 10 string alpha with only two colors

I’ve done a couple step by step tutorials through an entire pattern if you really need the guided instruction. They’re with specific patterns but could still be useful for you to get an idea. 🤷🏻‍♀️Otherwise, if you grasp the concept and are just struggling with the looks of it I’d start with just a two tone bracelet and work from there. A lot of people try to jump into large multi-colour bracelets right away because they can do large normal patterns only to give up.

I found #23860 to be a really good beginner alpha! It was multiple colors but you only ever deal with 2 colors at once.
