How do I bring a new color as the first color of a new line?

I dont know how to explain but if I have a pattern where the very first knot of the row is a new color, how do I do that? How do I knot it in? The tutorial by masha does not seem to include this?

I recommend using the straight edges technique. This way the end of the string will point to the inside and be hidden.
