I’m going to make a bracelet with 24 strings, how long should I cut the thread (an estimate more or less). I want to make it have a loop and two triangles at the start.

Do a wingspan length and then fold it in half

you can either do what barrelgal said, or, if you want to save a little bit more of string, can you tell me how long you want it to be, and what pattern you are making, i might be able to give an estimate.

It depends on the pattern. If you have a pattern like the candystripe or chevron where all strings are used equally, wingspan works well. But if the strings aren't used equally, some might need to be longer than that and others can be shorter. I've written a tutorial.on how you can calculate it https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/173_how-to-calculate-string-length-in-a-normal-pattern/ |

All strings are used equally. You need about 95cm per string (or 190cm) folded in half.
