I made two patterns which were declined by a moderator. I got a notification that the message can be found attached to the pattern, but where is the pattern now? And what reasons can patterns be declined that aren’t caught automatically by the pattern creating software (like too dark, or colors too similar)? It wasn’t anything inappropriate.

the declined pattern will be in the create patterns section of your profile, where you can find it, as well as the decline message. you could also click on the link from the notification.

hope this helps!❤️

If it's not an automated warning why the pattern got declined, it might be that the pattern is on the list of patterns we generally decline from our guidelines: https://www.braceletbook.com/review-guidelines/

Patterns we generally decline:
- chevron, simple fishbone chevron and candystripe
- simple plaid patterns with one row f and one row b knots
- striped patterns consisting of fb and bf knots
- simple zigzag and horizontal stripe patterns
- simple diamond patterns
- existing patterns with added borders or straight edge technique
- simple text patterns
- scrambled or randomized patterns without a clearly repeating pattern
- duplicate patterns which should be added as variations
- extremely similar patterns which are very easy to derive from the originals
- similar variations
- cow print patterns
- QR codes and Spotify codes

I recommend reading the whole part on patterns to understand why a pattern might get declined.

@halokiwi, I was just wondering why cow print patterns?

@bkornre because there are already way too many and they are also really easy to design

@halokiwi, that makes sense. Thank you for answering my question. 😊
