Hi. I have a question. I'm making bracelets for some time and I have my problem. Skin on my fingers I use to make knots is damaged by the strings. Is there any way to protect it? Or I just have to live with that. Also, sorry for English, it's not my first language.

You could use a bandaid on your fingers.

Unless you're wanting to wear some thin nylon gloves while you knot, maybe look into care for your hands between your projects. I suffer from chronic painful cracks mostly on my thumbs, and I've learned to care for them to help with healing & protecting my skin from further damage.

- Hydration: dry skin treatment starts from the inside, and staying hydrated will help (as it does with most things)

- Moisturize: Apply a hand lotion regularly. If you have any wounds, use a lotion high in Vitamin E (Lush's Dream Cream is my recommendation) or ointment like Aquaphor directly on the wound. Cover with a sturdy fabric bandage (make sure you do extra lotion) or use an adhesive barrier bandage as that promotes wet healing, is waterproof, and lets you do most things with it on due to how thin it is. The hydrocolloid ones are fairly good, but I also find just plain ones to work well with a bit of lotion on the wound first.

Disclaimer: I'm not doctor, this is all just anecdotal to my experience!
