hey guys! i've been making alphas for a while but every time i make a bracelet with a color that goes several rows down like the lamppost of #174452, it turns out bumpy, sort of like how the sides of an alpha would look if you didn't use the flat alpha technique. do you have any idea on how to fix this? any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

So, you are using the flat alpha technique, right? You put the old leading string through the first knot of the new colour?

Because what you do at the edges is the straight edges technique. The flat alpha technique doesn't affect the edges.

Are the strings you use by the same brand?

If you use the flat alpha technique, you can also try to use it before a colour change and not only after. To use it before, you put the new leading string through the last knot of the previous colour.
