D-Ring size for 10-20 strings?

I see a lot of recommendation for 1" - 1.5" for 20-30 strings so I was planning for a 3/4" D-Ring for keychains. Would this be a good size or should I stick with the standard 1" ?

i use a 3/4" D-ring for 20 strings or less and it works perfectly
