Knots on the outer string of an alpha

It would be helpful if I could add a picture, but could anyone help me on how to make knots on the outer strings of an alpha to be cut short without unravelling, do i need a type of glue and if yes what type? There are strings sticking out the sides instead of the back and I dont know how to make them invisible

You could try the straight edges technique for your next alpha. Basically, you replace the knots on the left edge with bf and on the right edge with fb.
