Knots in alphas going sideways

Ugh its kinda hard to explain and stuff but whenever i make an alpha the knots dont look neat at all and lots of the times it looks like theyre leaning sideways if you understand, like they're not straight. And it doesn't look neat like i said before is there anyway i can make them look neater and make them not lean sideways or whatever?? Im sorry if this is confusing

Also the phot that i have is old. The alphas i make now look a little neater and i do the flat color changing method thingy so pls dont use that as an example 😣

Did you try the backwards alpha technique? It's a little more difficult than an average alpha, but this problem is avoided.

i haven’t tried either of these methods for myself so i don’t completely know if they work, but they might be worth a try! one is to drag a toothpick along the row in the opposite direction of the slant. the other is the double base string method, which supposedly makes your knots more square! lmk if you’d like more elaboration

When you tie your alphas making sure you are pulling your knots straight up. That works for me. Hope it helps.
