When I run out of string (at least if it's only one or two strings) I just put the short string behind the bracelet, tape a new one down, and start making knots with it like it's the old string. Just make sure you're careful the knots are in the correct place for the first few--you might need to adjust different string positions to make sure it lines up with the rest of the knots. When you're finished with making your bracelet (or at least a few rows later), just snip off the "tails". I hope this helped! Alex's Innovations has a tutorial for fixing broken strings if this doesn't make any sense. 😄

What i normally do on a normal patter is before the string is too short i attach more with a small tight knot, like the ones you make when you are changing colors on crochet, you can search a tutorial for that type of knot, it’s really easy and it’s really strong, it will stay attached, then i just continue to knot normally and make sure that the little bump of the knot stays on the back! Hope it helps.
