Does anyone have any good recommendations on YouTube that explain and show you how to read and do a normal pattern? I can do normal patterns by following a tutorial, but I can not connect what I’m doing with what the pattern is showing

I would use masha knots she explains everything very well! You could also use Pinterest, i find they always have a bunch of tutorials.
